Dr. Petros Kokkinos is a graduate of the School of Dentistry at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He specialized in orthodontics in the postgraduate program of the School of Dentistry at Louisiana State University (LSU) in New Orleans, USA.

He further specialized in Craniofacial Orthodontics and Occlusion Medicine in San Francisco, USA, with Professor Sadao Sato.

He also specialized in Vienna with Professor Alain Landry in the method of "Controlled Mandibular Repositioning" for the treatment of TMJ dysfunctions using the "Stabilizer" appliance.

He has published articles in AJODO (American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics), Journal of Calcified Tissue International, Inf. Orthodontic Kieforthopadische (journal of German orthodontic association).

He gives lectures at a local level, in Europe, America, Latin America, and the Middle East.

He has presented his research work at IADR (International Association of Dental Research), AAO (American Association of Orthodontics) and his clinical work at the EOS (European Orthodontic Society) conferences, and on an annual basis at the Viesid Summer School in Vienna.

He is a visiting lecturer in the orthodontic postgraduate program at LSU School of Dentistry in the USA.

Since 2023, he has been a scientific and teaching member of Viesid (Vienna School of Interdisciplinary Dentistry) and teaches the therapeutic approach "Functional Individualized Dentistry" and "Craniomandibular Orthodontics and Occlusion Medicine" at a local level (Cyprus) and in Vienna.

He served as a member of the Board of the Orthodontic Society of Cyprus for 18 years, during which he served twice as president. He was an AAO ambassador from 2012 to 2016.

He is a member of local and international scientific societies and study clubs in Europe and America.

He is the founder of VieSID Cyprus, where, a three-year postgraduate program (mastership) in the therapeutic approach "Functional Individualized Dentistry (Prosthodontics/Orthodontics)" is taught.

He lives and works in Limassol, where he runs his own clinic "Kokkinos Smile Clinic" and the "Center for the Treatment of Dysfunctions and Skeletal Disharmonies of the Craniofacial Complex."
