Dental Technician Curriculum

The objective of this curriculum is to convey knowledge and practical methods related to various waxing classes and splints within this concept. The course establishes a fundamental understanding of interdisciplinary working methods and introduces entirely new approaches for dental technicians. The combination of theoretical lectures and practical work guided by the teachers provides the perfect opportunity to apply these acquired skills and knowledge in daily professional life.

The sessions are conducted in the state-of-the-art modern facilities of the Kokkinos Smile Clinic. The sessions are held in the state-of-the-art facilities of the university clinic, equipped with the latest technology. Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a diploma for their participation.

The course is divided into three modules, with each module spanning three days.

• Introduction and principles of the ‘Slavicek concept’
• Fundamentals in model work and facebow, arbitrary and axis mounting
• “How to use” – Articulator and its additional parts
• Wax up Class I
• Theoretical part about Class II, splint therapy, use of CPV (Condylar-Position-Variator)
• Splint production
• Wax up Class II
• Theory about splints according to ‘Slavicek concept’ (retrusive guidance on splint surface)
• Wax up Class III

The premises consist of modern and state of the art conference room ,clinics and ample parking. They are located at an easily accessed area and it’s surrounded with hotels and accommodation places all within walking distance.
